Swale CAMRA's 50th Anniversary

Swale CAMRA’s 50th anniversary.

Swale Branch came together to celebrate their 50 years of campaigning in and around Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Faversham along with a host of surrounding villages. The Branch had its inaugural meeting at the Park Tavern on Tuesday 17th February 1976.

There was a good turnout from current members, including Paul Durkin, one of our original members.

A certificate which commemorates this event has been presented and will hang in the pub.

Pictured below are Steve Berry, our current Chair on the right, John Kent our Social Secretary, who put a lot of work in arranging the event with his committee, and centre is Paul Durkin as mentioned above.

Also present was Keith "Blakey" Hoult at 87 years young possibly one of or oldest members? let us know if you can beat him!

The Following pictures we have curtesy of Shepherd & Neame who sent a photographer along to record the day.
